Schedule of Events

Friday: September 20

6 - 10 p.m.  |  Running Aces Casino, Hotel & Racetrack, 15201 Running Aces Blvd, Columbus, MN


Stop by City Hall on September 18 & 19 and pick up your Swag Bags (first come, first serve) for special discounts before your night at the races!


Racing starts at 6 p.m.

Ride-In Movie Starts at Dusk (Arthur the King)

Car parking for the movie in the Running Aces parking lot begins at 5:30 p.m. The movie begins at dusk. Concessions will be available for purchase during the movie from Crossroads Church Youth!


Saturday: September 21

10 a.m. - 3 p.m.   |   Columbus City Park, City Hall & Community Center


Public parking is available at the Crossroads Church Parking lot, 17445 Notre Dame Street NE. There will be a complimentary shuttle every 15 minutes running between the church and City Hall from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.


Parking will NOT be available at the City Park Notre Dame Lot or at the City Hall Campus.

  • 11 AM: Anoka County Sheriff's Office - K9 Demonstration
  • 11:15 AM-12:15 PM: M-Health - Helicopter Landing
  • 11:30 AM & 1 PM: Connexus Energy - Safe Around Power Lines
  • 1 PM: Anoka County Sheriff's Office - Drone Demo
  • 2 PM: Forest Lake Fire Deptartment - Extrication Demonstration
  • 2:30 PM: Boy Scouts - Flag Retiring Ceremony
  • All Day: Anoka County Sheriff's Office - Kids Fingerprinting Activity

Kids & Family Fun

FUN FOR ALL AGES:

  • 9 AM: Columbus Car Show - Registration begins, it is FREE to participate
  • 10 AM - 3 PM: Forest Lake Fire Department Open House
  • 2:15 PM: Happy Birthday Columbus Celebration
  • 12:15-3 PM: Adult BINGO (must be 18+)
  • All Day: Lions Raffles, Craft Show/Vendors in the Council Chambers

FOR THE KIDS:

  • 11 AM - 12 PM: Kids Bingo (ages 6-12)
  • 11 AM - 2 PM: Balloon Artist
  • 12-3 PM: Face Painting
  • All Day: Petting Zoo, Bounce Houses, Kids Games, Kids Trout Pond Adventure

What's on the Menu?

  • Lion's Food Court in the Community Center: Roast Beef, Polish Sausage, Hot Dogs, Corn on Cob, Mini Donuts, Chips, Water, Soda, & Coffee
  • Lion's Concessions in the Park: Cotton Candy, Popcorn & Ice Cream
  • Lion's Beer Garden (across from the Community Center): Serving Beer, Seltzers, Bloody Mary's, and Wine. There will be fun games like the Wine Toss, and Live Music by “Jack the One Man Band."
  • Food Trucks on the City Hall Campus: Tator Tot Temptations & Eggroll Queen.


Sunday: September 22

8 a.m. - 1 p.m.       Columbus City Park & Community Center


Lions Pancake Breakfast in the Community Center - 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Proceeds for the Pancake Breakfast will go to the food shelf.


Worship in the Park - 9:30 a.m.

Join us for worship (and live music) in the City Park led by Crossroads Evangelical Church. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket. After worship cross the street for a yummy pancake breakfast!
